In our series “Stoolbend Character Sketch” we will profile the colorful residents of Stoolbend, Virginia. The Cleveland Show is chock full of charismatic personalities and we will give each cast member his or her own bio page.
Cleveland Brown is more than just Peter Griffin’s good friend. Over the years we have known Cleveland to be level-headed, calm, soft-spoken, gentle and goofy. What many people forget is that he owned a Deli, ironically called Cleveland’s Deli, that rarely made an appearance on Family Guy.
He’s always been a kind and gentle character, though we finally saw his anger come out when Quagmire and Loretta had an affair. However, even at the height of his temper, he could not bring any harm to Quagmire, one of his best friends.
A stark contrast from the outrageousness of Peter, overt sexuality of Quagmire and extremeness of Joe, Cleveland stays true to himself — a humble, quiet neighbor that enjoys having a good time. In his new show, Cleveland sets out to break away from the mold of the boring background character.
We will now see Cleveland in his element, a familiar town and now the head of a new household. Loretta used to push Cleveland around and treat him like a doormat. Hopefully, Donna will give him the love that he deserves.
As for occupation, this is yet to be seen. With the experience of running a Deli under his belt and the twice crushed dreams of being a minor league baseball scout, who knows what Cleveland will be working at in the future. Only time will tell.
Cleveland’s sense of humor is cute, though not everyone appreciates his jokes. He’s a lovable guy that has caught a lot of bad breaks recently, but that has all changed now that he is married to the woman of his dreams. Things won’t be perfect — they never are — but one thing is certain, Cleveland will take it all in stride.
Catch Phrase: “Oh, that’s nasty!”

Cleveland is so awesome! Especially his catch phrase Oh, that’s Nasty. Every time I hear him say it , I just start cracking up, he says it with such disdain.
I have a suggestion for a character sketch – Lester! He is one of my favorite characters. He is married, has a son named Ernie, and a Porta-John in his living room! Lester’s wife. Kendra is pretty and has a fantastic sense of humor. The problem is, she is morbidly obese and cannot afford the gastric bypass surgery she needs! Lester built a wheelchair ramp and widened doorways for Kendra’s mobility scooter. He REALLY loves his wife
